2 day Big 5 Safari Tour

Day1: Our Safari starts early from Durban and travels north along the coast.

We travel 2.5 hours to Zululand where the world famous Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve lies and the town of St Lucia.
St Lucia is an Estuary and wet land. It has hundreds of hippos and crocodiles. Here we will board a river cruiser and spend 2 hours looking for hippos and crocs. There are also around 500 different bird species in the area. Fish eagles, kingfishers and other water birds are often seen.

After a good lunch (own expense) we will drive to the entrance of the Game reserve. After formalities our first game drive will start. Our overnight camp is about an hour drive through the park. Depending on what we see on the way it may take a little longer.

After checking in we will relax for a while then go out on an afternoon game drive. This is a great opportunity to see elephants, lions, giraffe and numerous antelope species.

This evening we have an open safari vehicle drive just before dinner.

Dinner included

Day 2: After an early morning game drive searching for the animals we have not seen we will go to enjoy our last buffet breakfast.

Now it’s time to check out and maybe some optional extras.

1) Take a longer route out of the game reserve and look for that 1 that got away

2) Elephant interaction, visit a game reserve with 3 hand reared elephants, feed and touch them and get some real close up pictures.
