We leave Africa’s biggest port city (Durban) in the morning and head eastwards along the coast. The next 2.5 hours are spent driving through sugarcane plantations, crossing rivers and passing huge commercial forests.

Our first stop will find us in St Lucia on board a River Cruiser searching for crocodiles and Hippos.

A Short drive up the main road we pass a rural settlement before we reach the main gate.

After formalities we start on our first game drive.

Hluhluwe- Imfolozi is known for its tree climbing lions. Leopards can also be seen in the trees sleeping the day away. We will have a chance to spot numerous game species en-route to the overnight camp.

Once there we settle in and prepare a light lunch or pack a picnic basket for a stop on the trail.

The midday, early afternoon offers many opportunities of spotting plain's game such as zebra, wildebeest and giraffe. There is always a good chance to see elephant or rhinos bathing in one of the many water points.

We return to the camp before closing time as the sun begins to set. While you freshen up and relax your guide will get a braai (barbeque) on the go.

Dinner will be served on the porch while zebra and impala graze nearby. The day my end with a glass of wine and stories of African wildlife.

Included: lunch, dinner, bottled water

Day 2:

Up early before the sun is the order of the day. Your safari guide will meet you at a point with a coffee station set up. Coffee, tea and rusks can be enjoyed.

Depending on the previous day's sightings we may go back to a lion kill or head on toward our next camp.

The next camp is on the opposite side of the park. We will work our way through stopping at one of the picnic sites for breakfast. This side has huge herds of plains game with the lions that follow them. We will also have the opportunity to spot rhinos and buffalo.

We will arrive in time for lunch where you can use the restaurant with breathtaking views over the valley below.

After settling in to your accommodation you have a couple hours to relax look at you photos or just catch up on some sleep.

This afternoon you will join a Park Ranger on a sunset game drive. This will give you the chance to spot some of the night life. Bush babies, porcupine, leopard can all been seen amongst other animals.

When you return dinner will be ready and we can all sit down to a good meal.

Included: breakfast, dinner, bottled water

Day 3:

Another early rise and hot coffee will start the day. The morning will be spent with a short early drive to spot any animals we are still to see. Returning for breakfast, we will pack our bags load up and head off to one of the gates.
